  • If you don’t set this direction early, every decision down the road gets harder and more confusing.
How to do it:
  • Take some time to think about the emotional experience you want to create.
  • Imagine someone discovering your business for the first time. How do you want them to feel?
  • Jot down a few words or phrases that capture this feeling (e.g., welcoming, bold, high-energy, calming, luxurious).
  • Think about your ideal audience and what excites or inspires them.
  • Don’t worry about being perfect. This is about setting a north star for your brand before you get lost in the details.
The bigger WHY: Getting clear on your brand vibe gives every future decision a reference point. It saves you hours of second-guessing, speeds up every design or content choice, and helps everything you create feel consistent and true to your vision.
